rotating the SPCE profits into TOPS and BATL
Two quiet sessions of buying, no realized profit or loss — but worth logging, because this is the moment my behaviour changed.
The buys
On June 4 I bought 1,000 shares of TOPS at $1.03. On June 5 I added 300 more TOPS at $0.92 and opened 1,000 shares of BATL at $1.32. Cheap names, small dollar amounts, nothing reckless in isolation.
The part I'd flag in hindsight
I'd just made about $3,500 on a position I held for six weeks without touching it. My immediate response was not to do more of that. It was to redeploy into two new low-priced names within seventy-two hours, and from here my trade count climbs steeply — from three trades in eight days back in April to dozens per session by mid-June.
A big win makes you feel like you've figured something out. What it actually does is hand you more capital and more confidence at exactly the moment those two things are most dangerous together.
Running total unchanged at +$3,523. Both positions still open going into the following week.
