DAIC nearly doubles intraday — a +$2,206 session

DAIC: in at $1.85, out at $3.20

CID HoldCo had been one of the wildest low-priced names on the market — it ran from pennies in late May into the $4s within days, a move of roughly twentyfold, and it was still whipping around violently. On June 10 the company disclosed non-binding letters of intent covering an investment in convertible preferred stock and the sale of part of its operating business, which kept the name firmly in play.

I bought 1,410 shares at an average of $1.85 and sold 1,400 at an average of $3.20 across eight prints the same session. That's +$1,897 on a position I held for hours, not weeks.

BATL closed out for +$309

I also sold my 1,000 BATL shares at $1.62 against the $1.32 cost from June 5, booking +$309. Two clean exits, both into strength.

This is the day that convinced me day trading worked. Read it alongside what DAIC did to me over the following two weeks — four straight losing trades in the same ticker — and the real lesson isn't “I can trade DAIC.” It's that one enormous winner can teach you the wrong thing.
