Some mornings the tape hands you clean money. Today was one of the better ones — I stuck to the pre-market gainers, took quick bites, and walked away green.

CJMB did the work

I worked CJMB (Callan JMB), in around $1.21 and out around $1.22 across 38 prints on 16,373 shares, for a +$189 win.

Days like this are a reminder that the edge is in the base hits — not swinging for the fences.

The SKHZ mistake

I worked SKHZ (1x Short SK Hynix ETF) — the inverse SK Hynix ETF that pays off when the stock falls. I was in around $12.43 and out around $12.38 across 10 prints on 1,300 shares, for a -$70 hit. The leveraged products giveth and taketh; when the underlying chops, they just bleed. Read: why a 2x fund can lose money even when your direction is right →

SSPC: the day's bright spot

I worked SSPC (2x Short SPCX ETF) — a 2x short SPCX ETF. I was in around $17.78 and out around $18.00 across 5 prints on 300 shares, for a +$66 win.

Also on the tape

Smaller pieces that netted into the day: SPCH +$40, SKHU +$36, FGMC +$0.

Add it up and it was a +$261 day. That puts my running total for this stretch at +$112. Tomorrow I reset and run it back. Read: what 890 trades looked like once I reconstructed the statement →
