Jul 22, 2026: Lakewood-Amedex dug a -$332 hole
The routine doesn't change, but the result sure does. I ran the same pre-market playbook I always do, and today it bit me.
LABT: where it went wrong
I worked LABT (Lakewood-Amedex), in around $4.87 and out around $4.85 across 61 prints on 8,600 shares, for a -$222 hit.
The math of this is simple and it keeps finding me: my small scalps are fine, but one oversized loser erases a stack of them. Size is the whole game.
SKHU bit me
I worked SKHU (ProShares Ultra SK Hynix) — the 2x leveraged fund that tracks SK Hynix. I was in around $21.94 and out around $21.78 across 13 prints on 1,000 shares, for a -$160 hit. The leveraged products giveth and taketh; when the underlying chops, they just bleed.
Catching AGPU
I worked AGPU (AXE Compute), in around $7.08 and out around $7.30 across 2 prints on 500 shares, for a +$110 win.
Also on the tape
Smaller pieces that netted into the day: SKHZ -$26, GOOG -$22, SPCH -$12.
Add it up and it was a -$332 day. That puts my running total for this stretch at -$283. I'll reset, size down, and try to give it back slower than I lost it.
